State Qualifier 2012 : Rad Canyon Indoor

This weekend was the 1st state qualifier weekend for the 2012 season. Friday was a single point race with 49 motos. Our team brought home the following: Michael - 9th, Mad Dog - 5th, Randy Cruiser - 5th, The Bear - 3rd, JoDrama - 3rd, Lucky Day - 2nd and Randy - 1st. This is Randy's first win and also his first race on his new purple Kaos Frame.

Saturday was a triple point state qualifier. Rad Canyon registered 81 motos for this state qualifier, so it was a long day of racing. The kids colored, played on i-pods and lounged around inbetween races.
The whole team did awesome all day racing. All but one rider made it into their main events. Mad Dog wrecked in his second moto and wasn't able to qualify. Clay crashed in his main event, but was able to get back up and finish with a 7th place finish. Randy wrecked in his main event and ended up at insta care with a cracked elbow and bruised shoulder, so he came home with an 8th in his 20" class.

The rest of the team came home with the following finishes: Randy Cruiser 7th, XXX 6th, The Bear 5th, Ron 5th, JoDrama 3rd, Michael 3rd & Lucky Day 1st. Hoping we can all come out of our next state qualifiers without any crashes.

Sunday we weren't planning on racing, but because of the craziness of Saturday night, we decided to go back to the track to make sure we got everything packed up before leaving for the doctors. Since we were heading there anyway we decided to let the kids race. XXX took 8th, The Bear took 3rd, JoDrama took 3rd and Lucky Day brought home another 1st.

Great weekend of racing to all Kaos Utah Riders. Also, thanks for helping us load up the trailer while getting Randy off the track, so that we could get him to the doctor quickly.

Gate Balance & Pot Luck

Last night, we had our february team activity. Since none of us have a starting gate or access to a training track, we made due with what we had. We build gate trainers out of wood and cinder blocks to help everyone practice their balance.

We played games, to see who could stay up longer, balance using one hand and then stand up sit down exercises. We also enjoyed a pot luck dinner of bbq hamburgers and hotdogs while talking and getting to know one another better.

We also signed two new riders to the team last night, Ron & Clay DeHeer. We are now up to 9 riders on Kaos Utah. We are in search of finding at least one more girl, so that JoDrama isn't the sole girl rider.

We are very proud and excited for this team. We have very supportive members and they all know how to have fun, even when practicing. We shared many laughs last night.

Pile Up Racing

Today, Randy was involved in a 7 man pile up in his cruiser race. After a few more races, he is now stiff and sore, but no major injuries to any of the riders.

Before racing started, a few of our riders got together to work on gates.

Coaching each other after a few runs, trying to help each other better themselves on the track.

Team Kaos Utah brings home a 6th, 4th, 4th, 3rd, 3rd & 2nd. Two of our riders were unable to race today, we look forward to having them join us again next time.

KAOS Utah : Dance Team

So first we need a little explanation. Randy and a bunch of riders from Idaho, have been teasing each other that they need to grow a set and bring their tutu's to the race. So tonight when we arrived at the race, a few of the Idaho riders presented Randy with a gift (a green, black and white tutu). Well Randy took the joke to the next level and raced with the tutu on all night and "The Bear" also took his turn at racing with it, but I didn't get a picture with him in it.

All of team Kaos Utah did a great job tonight.

XXX (7th), Charger (5th) after a wreck in the main, JoDrama (4th), Mad Dog (4th), Randy Cruiser (3rd), Lucky Day (3rd), The Bear (2nd) and Randy 20" (2nd).
